Sarah Madhuri Meets Cardinal Anthony Poola
Secunderabad, June 21, (Telangana Kiranam Correspondent): National Christian Council State Governance Wing President Sarah Madhuri and Pastor and Missionary Tony Greg of Seva Bharat met with Cardinal Poola Anthony who was recently appointed for apostolic contribution as the Cardinal. They congratulated him with a flower bouquet on attaining this high position in the Church. They spoke with media after their meeting with Cardinal and thanked Pope Francis for appointing an Indian and also from a Dalit background to this highest position in the Catholic Church to could be a member of the College of Cardinals that elects the Pope. They appreciated Archbishop of Hyderabad Poola Anthony for becoming a cardinal and said that this is the first time that a cardinal is appointed from the Telugu background and also from the Dalit background and this rare distinction goes to Archbishop Poola Anthony they said. By this gesture many in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will be glad in the Church leadership that elevated their own person to high level position in the Church. They congratulated Cardinal Poola Anthony for attaining this high position that is only next to Pope and said that this is a symbol of dedication of the Church to recognize any and all those that are in good service irrespective of their region or background.
