AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:
There are a lot of professionals from the Christian community that have been giving their share of expertise and sincere service in their own field of work. The Scripture teaches that good work ethics should be followed in matters like in time management and giving a whole hearted dedicated service to the job or vocation that we are in. The book of Proverbs is full of guidelines to be diligent, industrious in one’s vocation and not be slothful and also encouraging that a job should be done with wisdom and understanding.
As these scriptural principles were followed in the work place in many western countries for decades now so those countries became the developed nations and wealthy too. The Professionals Wing seeks to network the Professionals to be in fellowship and to seek avenues as to how to serve with deeper impact in their place of work and also to influence others along side, thus attempting to propel the country to move from a developing nation to become a developed nation at the earliest. So the first step is to identify the Professionals from the fields such as: Doctors, Engineers, Nurses, Professors, Lecturers, Teachers, Managers, Directors, IAS officers, IPS Officers and from so many other professions. Both men and women professionals will be given equal importance to serve in this and through this Professional Wing.
After Identification the second step is to Network them into a NCC member or leader or a NCC resource person as per their skills and knowledge and as per their commitment to give back to the community / society in the NCC banner. Many professionals will be very occupied either by their career demands or by the need of them to go the extra mile in their job. So in networking we will explain that we expect them to allocate some time to NCC and to be available especially in times of a crisis and in times when specific expertise is required.
After Identification and Networking then the actual work will begin to first ascertain the strengths of the community in various fields and to create a database of the willing and talented professionals. All may not take up leadership positions due to their time constraints. If aspiring to be a leader and ready to serve it has to be fully thought through and to clearly understand that as a leader there are lot of expectations in the areas of availability and accessibility. A member can give attention to the info that comes across and interact when possible and involve if and when their time permits and not big expectations as from a leader. So the Professionals will be given the choice to lead or to be a member as per their convenience.
As Henry Ford said: “Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; Working together is success.” So after Identification and Networking specific projects or roles will be entrusted to those that can lead and deliver.
The Professionals Wing will serve as a Fellowship and Information Centre for all the professionals with the Professionals National Wing President and State Wing Presidents maintaining or arranging to maintain social media and advanced technology methods keeping in step with the trends of the market to gather data and to utilize it.
Then seek avenues of opportunities to conduct seminars or conferences that promote Leadership and Excellence in the work place. To also plan to conduct various stages of leadership program like introduction to leadership principles to the new leaders and advance Leadership principles indoctrination to those that have already been in leadership. To be in touch with other Businessmen’s Fellowship (that caters to the businessmen) and with CMAI (Christian Medical Association of India, that caters to Christian medical Professionals) and other such focused agencies to collaborate with them where possible. The activities that are being already done successfully by any other agencies need not be planned to be conducted again by NCC but unique and innovative programs should be envisioned.
The Professionals to be given spiritual and management / leadership encouragement to excel in their vocations and to make a clear mark of accomplishment. Studying and informing the professionals available options to serve with a larger scope by speaking at NCC Seminars or by sponsoring an event of a Wing or any special events that they are burdened about. Giving also full detailed info about the Projects of NCC that are already ready for sharing with others or for those projects that get initiated from time to time as when specific needs are encountered.
Major Activities of the Professionals Wing:
- To identify all the professionals, unemployed professionals, students who are studying in professional courses
- To network as many as Professionals into NCC and see that their expertise and availability is adequately utilized.
- To train the professionals to be effective witnesses of their faith and gospel of Jesus Christ in their work place through their committed service and also through witnessing when possible
- The Professionals should be given info as to how they could give their time, skills, expertise, money, etc for the Christian community through NCC and for NCC too.
- Inform them and empower them to make their own efforts for Christian rights within their field and outside too.
- Plan and coordinate and organise Service activities like:
- Conducting small, medium and big sized Medical Camps.
- Helping with Doctor’s Second Opinion, etc from medical professionals
- With Civil Engineers to get the Church Construction Official Plans made.
- Obtain and study Business ideas from MBA and other Business professionals
- Obtain and circulate Civils preparation ideas from IAS IPS and from other successful officers. Etc.
