AIMS & OBJECTIVES:
- Student Wing exists to be a purveyor of healthy inter and intra personal relations, to inculcate social values and ability to think independently for carrying out social responsibilities.
- The Students Wing will provide guidance to the Students and to the Counselling and Career guidance Cells in High Schools and Colleges for them to be resource centres of information, guidance and counselling with free accessibility and internet based global connectivity and exchange of information on further or higher education and about professional placements.
- Organize seminars and guidance workshops for informing students about the emerging professional trends and events, job profiles, leadership roles, entrepreneurship, market needs and risks and implementation of national socio economic policies and to impart training in soft skills.
- To promote discipline, healthy outlook and positive attitudes towards national integration and removal of narrow provincial preferences and prejudices on the lines of caste, creed or religion and other sectarian thought processes.
- To Plan Inter college or Inter District / State Student exchange programs for short visits or for specific period of time in coordination with the NCC other States and Districts Student wings.
- Plan to see any International colleges /High School / Universities visits or Students Exchange Programs.
- Give information on Career options in various major cities of India and information on further studies internationally.
- Provide information on the available Government Scholarships for studies abroad.
- Creating awareness among the students regarding available career options and helping them in identifying their career objectives. Guiding the students in developing skills and job search strategies required to achieve their career objectives.
- Guiding the District Student Wings to spread through the district to work for the impartation of knowledge to all. Arranging pre-placement talks, seminars, presentations and workshops. Felicitating activities like campus interview and off campus interview. Guiding the placement cells to fulfil the objective of placing the students in the right career. Prepare the Students for: Placements, Written tests, Group Discussions and Interviews to be conducted based on the selection process of companies. Creation of awareness amongst the students about the skills required for personal interviews.
MAJOR ACTIVITIES OF THE STUDENTS WING
- The working committee of the Students Wing will meet twice or thrice a year
- Conduct two or three programs State wide involving the students.
- The State President of the Wing should recommend District leaders of the Wing and in turn the District leader will appoint the District Student Wing Leaders.
- Every District Student Wing should meet twice a year.
- The State Student Wing President or his nominee should travel to all the Districts motivating the Students about the activities of the National Christian Council and their key role in the society.
- Concerns raised by the students should be given due importance and steps should be outlined for bringing adequate remedies.
- The issues raised by the Students should be represented by the Student Wing President to NCC and also to the appropriate government forum for redressal and retribution.
- Coordinate with National Students Wing in all activities.
- Encourage students of various Universities and major colleges in the state.
- From time to time, Conduct Student awareness camps as required
- Conduct Career guidance programs, especially in the beginning of the academic year and at the closure.
- Survey the needs of the student communities especially those from the minorities and suggest remedial measures.
- Encourage High Schools and Colleges to start Career and Counselling Cells where the Cells don’t exist. Where they exist network them to understand the trends and issues faced by the students and provide them with the necessary remedies.
