Wings

Cultural Wing

Aims & Objectives:

Introduction:

The Cultural Wing is to promote and affirm the Christian Culture that is in the form of Music, Songs, Poetry, Arts and so on.

Missionaries like William Carey, besides being a social reformer and a cultural anthropologist translated the Bible into Bengali, Oriya, Marathi, Hindi, Assamese, Sanskrit and parts of the Bible into other dialects and languages. In some of  these dialects and languages Bible portions happen to be the first literature to codify the language into a script and to give the language a proper recognition and sustainable future as a language.

Even the Tamil Bible translation goes back to the arrival of Bartholomäus Ziegenbalg at Tranquebar in 1706. Johann Philipp Fabricius, a German, revised Ziegenbalg's and others' work to produce the standard Tamil Bible.

Professinoals Wing

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:

There are a lot of professionals from the Christian community that have been giving their share of expertise and sincere service in their own field of work.  The Scripture teaches that good work ethics should be followed in matters like in time management and giving a whole hearted dedicated service to the job or vocation that we are in.   The book of Proverbs is full of guidelines to be diligent, industrious  in one’s vocation and not be slothful and also encouraging that a job should be done with wisdom and understanding.

As these scriptural principles were followed in the work place in many western countries for decades now so those countries became the developed nations and wealthy too.  The Professionals Wing seeks to network the Professionals to be in fellowship and to seek avenues as to how to serve with deeper impact in their place of work and also to influence others along side,  thus attempting to propel the country to move from a developing nation to become a developed nation at the earliest. So the first step is to identify the Professionals from the fields such as:   Doctors, Engineers, Nurses, Professors, Lecturers, Teachers, Managers, Directors, IAS officers, IPS Officers and from so many other professions.  Both men and women professionals will be given equal importance to serve in this and through this Professional Wing.

DIVYANG Wing

Aims and Objectives

And his disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” Jesus answered, “It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in him. “  John 9:2-7 (Bible)

Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see”            - Mark Twain

The language we use has an enormous impact on the way in which disabled people are perceived.  The social model of disability says that it is not the disabled person that needs to be changed – it is the society. It is society’s physical and social barriers that disable, not a person’s impairment.

Disability is the loss or limitation of opportunities to participate in society on an equal level with others, due to society’s physical and social barriers.

Children Wing

Aims & Objectives of the Children Wing

Major life patterns and values are formed in childhood. Holy Bible says: Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it. NCC Children Wing will encourage and build children to be godly, become good citizens thus building up patriots for our country. This Wing will plan to conduct programs that cater to the Children’s spiritual, mental, emotional and to their wholesome and over all development.

There is a false propaganda on the Christian community that the community “brainwashes” children through their Sunday School, Vacation Bible Schools, Summer Camps and other special programs. The summum bonum of the message of Jesus is: “Love your God with all your heart and soul and mind and love your neighbour as yourself”. So, as the teachers of Sunday School and other camps teach this message to children they make them to become godly and they train them to love their neighbour as themselves. There is no other brain washing as claimed by some unscrupulous elements. The teachings of Jesus when clearly taught to Children at an young age they will grow up to be promoters of peace and become godly and will love their fellow countrymen thus they will grow up to be true patriots of the country.  Patriotism is not in sloganeering but it is in loving fellow citizens, serving them when in need and living in harmony with all in the fear of God and in accordance to the Word of God.

OBC Welfare Wing

Aims and Objectives:

Other Backward Classes (OBC) is a collective term used by the Government of India to classify castes which are educationally or socially disadvantaged. It is one of several official classifications of the population of India, along with Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (SCs and STs). The OBCs were found to comprise 52% of the country's population by the Mandal Commission report of 1980, a figure which had shrunk to 41% by 2006 when the National Sample Survey Organisation took place. There is substantial debate over the exact number of OBCs in India; it is generally estimated to be sizeable, but many believe that it is higher than the figures quoted by either the Mandal Commission or the National Sample Survey.

ST Welfare Wing

Aims and Objectives

The ST Welfare Wing exists to provide more focused approach on the integrated socio-economic and spiritual development of the Scheduled Tribes (STs), one of the most underprivileged of the Indian Society, in a coordinated and planned manner.  There are several aspects that needs to be understood to achieve this.  A synopsis study of the main problems that Indian Tribals face will help to think clearly about them and about their issues with a little clearer  understanding.

The main problems the tribals face are:

  1. They possess small and uneconomical landholdings because of which their crop yield is less and hence they remain chronically indebted.
  2. Only a small percentage of the population participates in occupational activities in the secondary and tertiary sectors.
